Information and Responsibility:

Activity

• lending materials for library use and delivering it to members’ home,
• provision of library materials and documents through interlibrary loan,
• concern for the availability of material abroad, especially to Slovenes living outside the Republic of Slovenia,
• provision of information on library material and information resources,
• supporting and advising users to find information and materials,
• managing user databases and procedures related to borrowing, returning and recovering materials,
• making and disseminating copies of library material to users,
• care for the collection of core reference information resources,
• development and transmission of information on library, library materials and services,
• directing library visitors and providing basic information about the library,
• advising and assisting users in searching information resources and information in library catalogues, specialized databases and on the Internet,
• development and provision of scientific and professional information to users,
• information support for users with special needs,
• managing the information activity of the library within reference services,
• planning, development and promotion of online information services for users.
