Borrowing e-books

decorative pictureIn addition to regular books, NUK allows library members to borrow electronic books; the biblos e-book provider offers more than 1000 Slovene titles and EBSCO offers more than 180,000 mostly English titles.

Members can download them to computers, tablets, smart phones, and readers with suitable software supporting Adobe’s DRM protection installed (Adobe Digital Edition (Windows, Macintosh), BlueFire, biblos (iOS, Android), Aldiko (Android)). Kindle readers are not supported.



How do I borrow e-books?

  1. To register to borrow and read e-books register, enter your chosen username and password on the Adobe website > login > Get Adobe ID (only the first time you borrow).
  2. Use this username and password to register the program on your device (only the first time you borrow).
  3. Use your library card and library password to register at EBSCO (to borrow e-books, you must register your personal profile).
  4. Use the program to find and borrow an e-book.
