- Analysis of microclimate and other conditions for the preservation of library material.
- Provision of professional advice and statements of professional opinion and expertise on the preservation of library material.
- Co-operation in the creation, management and maintenance of the Digital Library of Slovenia.
- Binding services.
- Provision of professional assistance and instruction to libraries and implementation of training for the Slovenian librarians.
- Raising public, professional and political awareness of the importance of caring for the written cultural heritage and promoting a better understanding of the national preservation problem.
