Organisation/company's description: The Linguistic Engineering Group (LEG) within ICS PAS is a leading Polish research centre in Computational Linguistics, with rich experience and expertise in, i.e., the development of syntactic parsers of Polish, corpus linguistics, information extraction and grammar induction. LEG has developed the first large linguistically annotated corpus of Polish (cf. http://korpus.pl).

We are interested in joining any existing projects involving the linguistic processing of Polish at various levels (morphological, syntactic, semantic), including projects which would allow us to further develop our resources (parsers of Polish, the corpus of Polish, other tools), as well as projects concerned with the automatic acquisition of linguistic knowledge (valence dictionaries, wordnet-like ontologies) from corpora.

Opis organizacije/podjetja:
The John von Neumann Digital Library and Multimedia Centre creates, stores and supplies long-lasting digital documents based on the latest technology. It develops methodical and content-related issues connected to digital library duties, constructs and maintains meta-database including data of works belonging to the Hungarian Cultural Heritage. Based on the Governmental Decree of 1122/2004, (XI.17) of the Hungarian Republic two additional national programs became integrated into the John von Neumann Digital Library and Multimedia Centre: National Audiovisual Archive is the legal deposit archive of the Hungarian national broadcasters, collects and digitally stores, catalogues the programs of the national terrestrial televisions and radios, produced in Hungary. NAVA provides on-line access to its collection within the framework regulated by law especially for educational and research purposes, so NAVA documents will be available at libraries and public collections providing public service. National Digital Data Archive. The NDDA is the nation\'s digital data store. The NDDA is a new archive for a knowledge-based society and the digital era that makes Hungary\'s national cultural assets available in a digital form for a wide range of users and by utilising the new features of the network medium it creates added value at service level. It develops a national content infrastructure for digital cultural content. NDDA subject gateways are based on qDC metadata requirements and OAI harvesting model.

We are interested in partnership withs imilar public and private organisations, content and service providers, government agencies and research institutes. Neumann is already a partner in eTEN, eContentlpus, and IST projects as content provider, test place and background archive, and it would like to continue to be a partner in projects aiming at the digital preservation of the cultural heritage and digital cultural content related services. Furthermore, it is ready to act as the coordinator in middle sized projects.
