Digital Library Office

The primary function of the department is creation, management and maintenance of the digital library and integration of NUK into the global virtual library.

Areas of Responsibility

To provide leadership in the creation and development of the Digital Library of Slovenia.
To co-ordinate digitisation of the traditional format library material.
To co-ordinate the creation of Library‛s own databases.
To manage and co-ordinate the acquisition of licensed resources on behalf of NUK
and COSEC Consortium.
To follow and promote recommendations and guidelines for the acquisition, creation and supply of e-resources.
To carry out the day-to-day activities according to the needs of The European Library.
To develop, manage and promote e-services for supporting library activities.
To provide metadata for digital collections.
To keep the National Register of digitised library material.
To prepare the proposals and implement the projects in the framework
of the e-content programme.
