The primary purpose of the Centre is to provide preservation of the nation‛s literary heritage held in the National and University Library. The Centre consists of Restoration Department, Bindery, Research Group and the competent official for the preservation of library material.

Areas of Responsibility

• Production and implementation of informal and continuing education programme for librarians and library users‛ training.
• Organization and management of Librarian‛s Qualifying Examinations.
• Administration of the process leading to obtaining professional titles in librarianship.
• Professional assistance, administration and provision of technical support for the operation of the Exam Board and Commission on Recognition of Qualifications in Library Science.
